2nd IMLS Graduation Day -

2nd IMLS Graduation Day

On 15th August 2026, the campus of the  Instituteof Music, Languages and Polytechnic Studies (IMLS) was transformed into a vibrant center of celebration as students, parents, guardians, staff, and distinguished guests gathered for the institution’s 2nd Graduation Ceremony.

The day marked a significant milestone for the graduating class, bringing together years of learning, commitment, sacrifice, and personal growth. From the early hours, the campus was filled with excitement as graduates proudly dressed in their academic gowns, families arrived to share in the occasion, and the entire IMLS community prepared to celebrate an important chapter in the students’ lives.

Amidst cheers, applause, smiles, and countless photographs, graduates took to the stage to receive their academic awards. Each name called represented a unique journey of determination and perseverance, while every certificate and diploma symbolized the knowledge and skills gained during their time at IMLS.

The ceremony also provided an opportunity to recognize the support of parents, guardians, lecturers, administrators, and friends who played an important role in the graduates’ success. Their encouragement and commitment contributed greatly to making this memorable occasion possible.

It was a celebration of potential, ambition, and the courage to pursue greater opportunities. It reflected the institution’s commitment to its guiding philosophy, “Education for Human Greatness.”

A major highlight of the ceremony was the inspiring address delivered by the Keynote Speaker, Dr. Joseph Wasswa. In his message to the graduates, Dr. Wasswa encouraged them to approach the next chapter of their lives with humility, patience, and unwavering focus. He reminded the graduates that success is not achieved overnight, and urged them to remain patient as they pursue their goals, humble regardless of their achievements, and focused on the vision they have set for their lives.

His words offered the graduates valuable guidance as they prepared to transition from the academic environment into new opportunities and responsibilities. The message served as a powerful reminder that academic qualifications are only part of the journey, while character, discipline, patience, and determination play an equally important role in achieving lasting success.

As the graduates stepped forward into the next chapter of their lives, they left IMLS carrying not only their academic qualifications, but also an important message from Dr. Joseph Wasswa: remain humble, be patient, and stay focused. These values will continue to guide you as you pursue excellence and make your contribution to society.

The ceremony was graced by Madam Sophia Schaaf, Chairperson of FMK, Germany, as the Chief Guest. As a valued funding partner of IMLS, her presence was a significant recognition of the strong partnership between FMK and the institution.

Madam Sophia Schaaf congratulated the graduands upon reaching this important milestone and conferred certificates and awards upon the graduating students, celebrating their hard work, commitment, and academic achievements. Her participation added great significance to the occasion and offered the graduands a memorable moment as they officially marked the completion of their studies.
